The focus of this concept was to take a more physiologically plausible depiction of a winged fairy.  Rather than just leaving the fairy with wimpy little wings that are flimsily attached, I explored what would be required for a fairy to exist in nature. I spent a little over two weeks on this piece.

This is a quicker lower res sketch that I took about a day to come up with. It's purpose is to define the content needed to complete a 3D scene in the Unreal 3 game engine.

More involved subject matter then the Mayan ruin concept, but a lower level of detail and brush stroke refinement then the fairy painting.  This took about four days to complete.
